All computers need a monitor or LCD screen. Today's computers tend to have LCD screens instead of the older CRT monitors. At Micro Computer, we stock an inventory of both LCD screens and CRT monitors ( LCD's out sell the CRT by 20 to 1 ). We sell the quality lines of Acer, Hewlett Packard, Samsung and Viewsonic.

LCD screens, unlike the CRTs are measured diagonally corner to corner of the actual viewing area. CRT's are measured by the size of the tube, not the viewing area. As a rule of thumb, an LCD screen of the same 'size' as a CRT monitor is closer to the size of the next larger CRT. For example, a 17" LCD screen has a viewing area of 17" while a 17" CRT has a viewing area of only 15.5" to 16.0" depending on the manufacture of the tube. A 19" CRT will have a viewing area of only 17.4" to 18". This larger viewing area makes the 17" LCD today's most popular unit. We stock 17", 19", 19" Wide, 20" Wide and 24" Wide units. If the client has need of a LCD not in stock, we can order and have delivery the next day.

Our full line of LCD screens all have a three year warranty directly from the manufacture. This is a must for the business client that needs to be up and working at all times. The uninformed buyer should be aware that most, not all, LCD screens sold in the mass market stores or mail order houses are sold with a limited one year warranty, and some often have less.
